We're working hard to launch our CanSat on April 28th. Stay tuned!
Using low power, long range radio technology to relay emergency messages from remote locations.
Transmitting real-time GPS coordinates back to home base during emergency situations.
Pushing the limits of LoRa to maximize communication range while minimizing power consumption.
Our primary mission follows the standard CanSat requirements. We will be collecting and transmitting atmospheric data including temperature, pressure, and altitude during descent from 670m.
Our secondary mission is to create an emergency contact radio system using LoRa communication to relay messages, location, and emergency info through the CanSat and forwarded back to home base. This mission introduces the idea of launching many communication “checkpoints” to provide data to those on dangerous adventures in case of an emergency. Our team plans to test the limits of LoRa and take advantage of the low power long range communication through an aerial device.
